About

Lorena D’Ercole’s journey could be mistaken for the plot of a visionary novel, where imagination and reality intertwine.
Born in Basel, Switzerland, in 1975 to two creative Italian immigrants—a seamstress and a gardener—Lorena grew up surrounded by artistry, resilience, and dreams carried across borders. From an early age, she showed a rare sensitivity, perceiving human emotions with unusual depth and often declaring, long before she had read a single holistic book, that “we are all connected and love makes us one.”This profound intuition shaped her life. After a career in communication, marketing, and luxury events —including organizing BaselWorld and collaborating in the fashion and fine jewelry industry in Milan —Lorena traveled extensively to places such as India, Bali, and Crimea.

These journeys immersed her in diverse cultures, spiritual traditions, and aesthetics that enriched her inner world and inspired her creative awakening. What began as an expressive urgency soon revealed itself as her true calling: art. Lorena developed her own method, which she calls InYouArt—a form of codified painting where personal histories, words, and symbols are embedded into the canvas, sometimes hidden, sometimes visible. Her work transcends traditional painting by merging storytelling, instinct, and multi-sensory techniques, often incorporating raw materials such as cement, linen, or pigments in large-scale color gestures.Though entirely self-taught, Lorena’s art resonates with collectors and companies worldwide.

Her paintings are sought after not only for their visual power but also for their emotional depth: each piece acts as a vessel of memory, energy, and transformation. Today, her commissioned works come with a waiting list of 3–6 months, and her recent exhibitions—Goditela (2024) and Fil Rouge (2025)—have positioned her as one of the most promising voices in Swiss and Italian contemporary art.Driven by the belief that art is both intimate and universal, Lorena continues to explore new territories where creativity meets human connection, from personal commissions to global projects.
